MEMORANDUM FOR RECORD 12 FEB 09
SUBJECT: James Van Veen Squadron Meeting Minutes for 10 FEB. 09
1. The purpose of this meeting is to allow staff members to inform the squadron of what activities they are conducting and what needs to be done in the squadron.
2. This meeting is called to order at 2001.
3. NEW SQUADRON COMMANDER
– Vote will take place on 30 March, 2009
4. FINAL FOUR FUNDRAISING
– Mr. Wang needs more people to volunteer for the final four event.
5. SILVER WINGS
– 12 members and a board have been selected.
– Chapter name dedicated after fallen U.S. Air Force Paratroopers.
- Civilian members will be going to Military Ball.
7. CANDIDATE CALL SIGNS
- Candidate Hume: Kazoo
- Candidate Bolla: Wheat Thin
- Candidate Banks: Dolla Dolla Bill
8. PROTOCOL BRIEFING – Proper introductions:
- The person in authority, the more important is mentioned first
- Age is an exception. Old people go first
- Never call a boss by their first name.
- Always let your boss take the lead on what to call them.
- A man is usually presented to a woman.
9. Prospective ARCON co-commanders
- Each gave a briefing on why they were most fit for the position.
